A preschool that starts with play
Our Play Group is often a child’s very first time away from home, so the day is built around security and routine. Children sing, build, paint, listen to stories and play outdoors, and through that play they pick up the habits that make school feel natural later on: following simple instructions, taking turns, and expressing what they need.
What your child learns in Play Group
- Pre-literacy — letter recognition, phonics sounds and storytelling.
- Pre-numeracy — counting, patterns and basic shapes.
- Social development — cooperation, empathy and communication.
- Fine motor skills — drawing, cutting and hands-on manipulation.
- Environmental awareness — nature, community and self.
Why parents in Palavakkam choose Global Shine
Families from Palavakkam, Kottivakkam, Neelankarai and Thiruvanmiyur pick us for three practical reasons. Classes are small (an average 1:15 teacher-to-student ratio), so every toddler is noticed. Lunch and snacks are included. And because our day care runs until 8:00 PM, working parents can combine preschool and care at one campus.
For children aged 1.5 to 3 years who are not ready to stay alone yet, our Mom and Me programme lets a parent join their toddler for sensory play, songs and early language activities.
After Play Group
Children move on to Nursery, then Junior KG and Senior KG, and on to our primary school — so your child can grow up in the same familiar place with the same caring team.
