The step between play and school
At two, children are ready for a little more structure. Our Nursery class keeps the joy of play but adds a gentle routine — circle time, a short focused activity, outdoor play, art and music — so children grow comfortable with a school day and more confident doing things for themselves.
What we cover in Nursery
- Language development — building vocabulary and forming simple sentences.
- Mathematical concepts — recognising numbers and first simple addition.
- Creative arts — music, dance, painting and crafts.
- Physical development — gross motor skills and coordination.
- Emotional intelligence — self-awareness and empathy.
How we teach
Our classrooms follow a blend of Montessori, CBSE-foundation and STEAM ideas. In Nursery, that means hands-on materials children can touch and move, freedom to choose some activities, and a teacher who guides rather than lectures. Parents get regular updates, so you always know how your child’s day went.
Convenient for ECR families
We are on Sankarapuram 2nd Street, Anna Salai, Palavakkam — easy to reach from Kottivakkam, Neelankarai, Injambakkam and Thiruvanmiyur. Parents who work late can add day care until 8 PM.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nursery the same as Play Group?
No. Play Group (1.5–3 years) is mostly play-based. Nursery (2–3 years) adds more structured activities in language and numbers to prepare children for Junior KG.
What does my child need to know before joining Nursery?
Nothing specific. Teachers settle each child in at their own pace.
